Thoughtfully designed journeys in Italy, South Korea, Alaska, and by river—for travelers who value depth, connection, and experiencing a destination beyond the expected.

Meet Althea Wyman

I've always believed the best journeys are the ones that stay with you long after you return home.

Not because you saw the most.

But because you slowed down long enough to truly experience where you were.

Long before I became a travel advisor, I was the person researching neighborhoods, comparing hotels, finding local restaurants, and asking, "What makes this destination unique?" I loved designing the journey almost as much as taking it.

Over time, I realized something.

The moments I remembered most weren't always the famous landmarks.

They were the conversations with local people.

The neighborhood café I returned to every morning.

The hotel that began to feel like home.

The meal that taught me something about a place I'd never have learned from a guidebook.

Those experiences changed the way I thought about travel—and ultimately inspired Setters Point Travels.

Today, every journey begins the same way.

By listening.

I still get excited researching a destination I've visited before because there's always another neighborhood to explore, another family-run restaurant to discover, or another story waiting to be told.

My Travel Philosophy

What You Can Expect

Every journey we design together is guided by a simple philosophy:

Explore with curiosity. Savor the traditions of a place. Connect with the people who bring it to life.

This philosophy shapes every recommendation—from the pace of the journey and the hotels we choose to the experiences we include and the time we intentionally leave unscheduled.

That means you can expect:

  • Thoughtful pacing that gives you time to experience a destination rather than simply move through it.
  • Iconic places experienced with depth, alongside meaningful local experiences that reveal what makes each destination unique.
  • Hotels with character, warmth, and a true sense of place.
  • Regional cuisine that tells the story of a destination, from neighborhood cafés and markets to memorable meals shared around the table.
  • Meaningful connections with local guides, artisans, chefs, historians, and others who bring a destination to life.
  • Every detail intentionally chosen so you can slow down, be fully present, and truly experience the destination.

Explore. Savor. Connect.

Journeys We've Created.

No two journeys are exactly alike because no two travelers are exactly alike.

The experiences below reflect the philosophy that guides every itinerary I design: thoughtful pacing, meaningful local connections, exceptional hospitality, and a genuine understanding of the destinations my clients visit.

Whether it's a custom journey for two, a family adventure, or a hosted group, my goal is always the same—to create travel that stays with you long after you return home.

What my clients are saying

If This Sounds Like the Way You Want to Travel...

Perhaps you believe the best journeys aren't measured by how many places you visit, but by how deeply you experience them.

You enjoy slowing down long enough to appreciate the rhythm of a destination—to wander neighborhood streets, linger over a memorable meal, discover the stories behind iconic places, and connect with the people who make each destination unique.

You believe thoughtful planning creates the freedom to be fully present, allowing each day to unfold naturally rather than feeling rushed from one highlight to the next.

If that's the kind of travel you're looking for, I'd love to design your next journey with you.
